So, we’re really starting to gear up here for PROMOTIONS EAST in Atlantic City. For the editorial staff, a trade show provides ample opportunity to lock down some interviews, see the new products, and of course, enjoy the night life. In an attempt to help those not yet sold on the idea, I thought I’d bring you my Top 10 Things About PROMOTIONS EAST.
1.Putting faces with all the names on my press releases.
2.Playing some golf on Monday morning instead of scrolling through the normal 300 e-mails in my inbox.
3.Not worrying about bottles, diapers or spit-up clothes (I love you Pascal, but …)
4.Finally getting to have post-baby cigars and martinis with my fellow editors.
5.Schwag!
6.Sipping coffee as other people finish off that 5K run.
7.TROPICAL FANTASY RECEPTION at the Rainforest Cafe (the name says it all).
8.Convincing Mike Cornnell that the Tropical Fantasy Reception is a costume ball.
9.Dropping $50 on hard eight and knowing that I’m going home happy.
10.Looking for Jackie Chan at the Taj and playing out the scene at the end of Rounders.
